Man Utd and Chelsea boost as prime-target wants Premier League move

GriezmannManchester United and Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have had to be separated this evening, as they clashed whilst debating the latest reports concerning a top-target for both sides.

The Daily Mail states that Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has informed friends he wants to play in the Premier League, where Manchester United and Chelsea both hold heavy interest.

24-year-old French international Griezmann has risen to fame at the Vicente Calderon, helping Atletico to compete for the La Liga title and continuing to show the top-form that saw him earn his stripes at Real Sociedad.

Chelsea and Manchester United have held long-term interest in the forward, stemming back to his days in the Basque county, but it appears they now have a chance of finally getting their man.

With 20 goals in 34 appearances, Griezmann has shown he is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe and he will be a crucial part of France’s squad for the European Championships at the end of the current campaign.

Our landlord, however, feels both of these Premier League sides have no chance of landing Griezmann this summer as he’s convinced the talented forward will demand Champions League football, which neither side look likely to land.

Where will Griezmann end up if he leaves Atletico? Let us know in the comments below!
