The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a busy summer at Old Trafford…
Whilst Jose Mourinho invested heavily into his side last summer, the Red Devils have struggled to make as much of an impact as was expected this season – with Mourinho’s former side Chelsea currently running away with the Premier League.
In truth, Mourinho could learn a thing or two from the way that his old side is being managed – and it would appear as though the Portuguese boss is keen to do just that.
According to the Daily Star, Mourinho is planning a summer move to link up with Brazilian Chelsea star Willian – who found his best form under the Portuguese boss whilst he was in charge of the Blues.
The Brazilian, who has been a bit-part player so far this season at Stamford Bridge, was reportedly the subject of a move last summer – but Star Sport understands that Mourinho is planning another move at the end of the current season.
To be fair, it looks a little bit like Mourinho is looking to raid Chelsea for a few of their best players over the summer – with reports emerging in January suggesting that he wants to make a move for midfielder Nemanja Matic in the summer too.
Given how well Chelsea have been performing this season, it certainly makes sense that Mourinho is looking to take a leaf out of the book of his old club. With 14 points separating the two clubs, Man Utd have some serious work to do.
