It’s been a fantastic few weeks for Man Utd, and the positivity amongst fans has never been higher. They’re winning games, they’re playing well, and now a top-four finish is a genuine possibility under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, Man Utd’s latest decision hasn’t gone down too well with supporters, and it’s fair to say that it’s certainly brought the mood down somewhat.
Indeed, as confirmed over on the official Man Utd website, and as shared on Twitter, defender Phil Jones has agreed fresh terms at Old Trafford. He’s set to remain with the club through to 2023 at least.

Jones has, of course, been a great servant for the Red Devils, but his quality at times has been questionable – with mistakes particularly prevalent – and it appears as though many fans are against the prospect of him remaining at the club long-term.
They’re fuming that he’s been given a new contract, as you can see below:
A new 4 year deal for what exactly? How are these mediocre players still at the club, truly embarrassing. While you’re there, offer Valencia & Mata +5. Mind-blowing.
