What a difference a few minutes can make. The Red Devils looked to be on course to another disappointing defeat last night (Wednesday), with the Red Devils heading into the last 20 minutes in their game against Juventus still 1-0 down.
However, a few substitutions and a change in strategy later, the club found themselves on the right side of a 2-1 win against The Old Lady.
It was a remarkable turnaround from the club, and it was unforeseeable a few weeks ago. The Red Devils looked poor and out of form earlier in the season, and nobody really looked like they cared.
That wasn’t the case on Wednesday though. The players never gave up, and Jose Mourinho deserves a lot of credit for his team’s turnaround.
Following the game, though, a lot of the praise isn’t going to Jose Mourinho. Rather, it’s actually going to Juan Mata. The Spaniard scored the free-kick that got Man Utd back on level terms, and it was a big performance for a player that isn’t always a regular at Man Utd.
Fans want that to change it seems, though, with many supporters calling for his involvement against Man City at the weekend. Lots of supporters have taken to Twitter since the game to demand that he plays from the start against Man Utd’s rivals.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
But yesterday night was a really nice game and mata must always start he proved mourinho wrong a lot of times
