Man Utd had a decent campaign last season, but nobody really particularly impressed, much to the frustration of Jose Mourinho. They often just lacked that spark that had previously made them so deadly in previous years, with nobody really performing at their best.
That was certainly the case for Victor Lindelof, who moved to the club from Benfica last summer.
He was largely expected to be the solution to the club’s defensive problems, but he found the transition to life in the Premier League difficult. In the end, Mourinho rarely opted to utilise him – but could that change next season?
The Swede had a very solid campaign for his country as the European outfit made it to the quarter-finals of the World Cup, and he was a commanding and leading figure.
Now, he’s been reflecting on that form on the official Man Utd website, which has been shared on the official Man Utd Twitter. Naturally, plenty of Man Utd fans have responded to the news online, and they have been firing a message to Jose Mourinho – give him more game time!

They ‘re desperate to see him in a Man Utd shirt as much as possible next term.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

Deserves and needs his chance. If not, let the kid go. Be a shame if we did that though.

He can be main stay with Baily , provided one trust him and give him a run of Game. But last season we have seen to many changes
— TheRedDevil (@Rodio17) July 18, 2018
We dont need a new centre back Jose should trust him and Bailly. Why does he keep buying players he won't play?
— Kevin Thayer (@KevinThayer11) July 18, 2018
He'll shine if Mourinho lets him develop a partnership with Bailly.
Genuinely don't know if I can last another season of watching Smalling and Jones.
