The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with the fine form of Marcos Rojo this season…
The defender has been in fine form for much of the season so far, with Jose Mourinho’s management clearly having a good effect on the 27-year-old.
Indeed, it would appear as though Mourinho himself has been as impressed as the punters in the pub – with the Sun reporting that Man Utd are looking to secure a new contract for the defender this summer.
According to the Sun, Mourinho – who is apparently a big fan – is to sit down with the Argentine at the end of the season and begin talks over a new contract, having been impressed with him this season.
Rojo’s turnaround has certainly been impressive, with our landlord touting him as one of the Premier League’s best central defenders this season.
Rojo has made 14 starts in the Premier League, scoring once.
His partnership with Phil Jones this season has been stellar, which is particularly surprising given the fact that our landlord was expecting both players to leave last summer.
The real question, though, is does he deserve a new deal?
