The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed that it hasn’t worked out for him…
When Louis van Gaal signed Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton, the Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern were expecting big things.
The French midfielder has impressed during his early days in the Premier League, and a move to a big Premier League side looked inevitable – and Man Utd were first to make a move.
However, in the years since – the move has, as of yet, failed to work out. Schneiderlin hasn’t really been able to gain much of a foothold in the Man Utd first team, and under Jose Mourinho, his game time has diminished even more.
A move has, then, seemed inevitable – and it would appear as though we are steaming towards that conclusion.
According to the Sun, talks are underway behind the scenes at Old Trafford as Schneiderlin looks to resolve his future. The source notes that both parties are ready to move on, though finances could be an issue.
The Sun themselves note that Everton are Schneiderlin’s preferred destination – leaving the Toffees in the Transfer Tavern hopeful that a deal can get done in January.
The news has disappointed the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, many of whom thought that the Frenchman could form a perfect partnership with Paul Pogba in the heart of the midfield. The Everton fans, meanwhile, are toasting to the news.
Our landlord thinks that Schneiderlin is, undoubtedly, one of the Premier League’s best midfielders – and Koeman could be the man to get the best out of him.
