Man Utd keeping tabs on prolific 25-goal forward

The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern would love to see this…

Man Utd’s striking woes have been well documented this season, and their offensive issues are certainly something that Jose Mourinho must sort out.

Despite starting the season on fire, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has slowed down dramatically over the last few weeks – and the less said about Wayne Rooney the better.

It is, quite clearly, an area of concern for Jose Mourinho – and it is also seemingly something that he is looking to remedy.

According to the Mirror, Man Utd are monitoring Tottenham forward Harry Kane – who is currently amidst somewhat of a contractual crisis at White Hart Lane. After failing to agree on terms, both Tottenham and Kane have agreed to put talks on hold – and this has seemingly alerted the likes of Jose Mourinho – who could look to capitalise on their issues.

It must be noted, however, that the Manchester giants are not reportedly actively seeking out a bid for the Englishman, but rather they are waiting in the wings to see how contract talks develop between now and the end of the campaign.

The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern would love to see Harry Kane at Old Trafford, given just how prolific he has been in the Premier League over the last few years. He, of course, won the Golden Boot in the top flight last season – after finishing the campaign with an astonishing 25 league goals.

This year, despite an injury layoff, he has continued to impress – having bagged 5 goals in 7 league appearances.

With the futures of both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney looking uncertain, our landlord thinks that a move for Kane certainly makes sense – but he thinks that Mourinho will find it very difficult to negotiate a move with the notoriously difficult Daniel Levy.

The Man Utd fans in the Tavern will be holding out hope, though…
