Man Utd looking to appoint new boss before crucial Arsenal clash

mourinhoooo!Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern today are in a cheerful mood despite Saturday’s shock 2-1 defeat to Sunderland, with reports suggesting their under-fire manager has found himself right in the firing line.

The Sun states United could replace Van Gaal with Jose Mourinho before their next Premier League match, which comes on the 28th February against Arsenal.

Van Gaal’s Red Devils have been woeful this season, with the major embarrassment coming via an early exit in the Champions League, and the defeat to Sunderland at the weekend leaves United six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

The latest defeat has pushed the Manchester United board closer to a decision, with the Red Devils’ hierarchy believing there’s nothing to lose by replacing Van Gaal before the season draws to a close.

United’s match against title-chasing Arsenal in two weeks time could be decisive in the race for the top-four and the decision to appoint Mourinho early could be influenced by the Portuguese boss’ superb record against the Gunners.

Our landlord believes Van Gaal’s time was up months ago and United cost their season by not axing the Dutchman months ago, stating it’s too late for Mourinho to make any major improvements for this season.

United fans, do you want to see Van Gaal axed and replaced by Mourinho now? Let us know in the comments below!
