The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been very impressed with Anthony Martial this season…
The Frenchman has really turned over a new leaf under Jose Mourinho, and now the Portuguese is enjoying the benefits of the in-form winger.
Competing with Marcus Rashford on the wing, the duo have brought the best out of one another, and that is only going to benefit them and the Red Devils in the long-run.
Unsurprisingly, his fine form was always going to generate suitors, and so when reports from the Mirror emerged over the weekend suggesting that Arsenal were keen on the Frenchman, the fans in the Transfer Tavern didn’t think much of it.
Transfer Market Web, though, have now provided an update on the matter, and it appears as though Arsenal’s interest was significant enough to warrant a response. Transfer Market Web reports, citing UK sources, that Man Utd have rejected an approach from Arsenal for Martial – with an extension to his current deal at Man Utd now looking more likely.
This is just the news that the fans in the pub were hoping for. Martial has become a fan favourite, with his stellar performances and remarkable goalscoring record earning him a lot of fans. He has scored three times and assisted twice so far this term in the Premier League, and it’s clear that the best is yet to come from the 21-year-old.
This was always going to be a likely outcome to the earlier reports.
Martial is a top talent, and Man Utd would never let him go to a Premier League rival.
He looks certain to feature more prominently this season if he keeps his solid form up, and with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford all firing, Man Utd’s attack is looking very deadly indeed.
