This bodes well for the Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
Man Utd are renowned in the Football Transfer Tavern for bringing through top quality young talent, but the young Red Devils have fallen upon harder times as of late.
Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, United have been in somewhat of a transitional period – with several managers taking over on a short-term basis; leaving little motivation for youth development.
However, with Jose Mourinho brought in to steady the ship long-term, that perspective has seemingly changed. Players like Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are beginning to get more of a chance – and it would appear that United are keen for Mourinho to take it to the next level.
According to the Daily Mail, Man Utd have appointed an incredible 50 new scouts since January as part of a behind-the-scenes revamp.
The scouts will be reportedly placed in every continent; seemingly to ensure that nobody slips through the cracks.
This is a very bold move by United, but it could work out. They are wisely investing in the club’s future, and that is absolutely essential.
Our landlord thinks that this move could be vital down the road, as transfer fees continue to spiral and bringing through your own players becomes gradually more important.
The Man Utd fans in the Tavern are excited about this…
