Man Utd ready to seal big deal for 26-year-old ace

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted about this…

According to Manchester Evening News, Man Utd are planning on offering David De Gea a new deal – in an effort to ward off interest from Real Madrid. Though the goalkeeper still has several years to run on his current deal, it is said that Man Utd are willing to offer him a contract worth around £200,000-per-week.

This is the news that the Man Utd fans in the pub have been waiting for. With Real Madrid looking on eagerly, securing the long-term future of David De Gea at Man Utd was a key priority for the Red Devils – and it appears as though Mourinho is moving swiftly to achieve that aim.

For his part, De Gea is certainly deserving of a deal to make him one of Man Utd’s highest earners. The Spaniard is amongst Europe’s most impressive shot-stoppers, and whilst Man Utd have often struggled this season – he has continually impressed.

Offering leadership, agility and aerial prowess in addition to excellent shot stopping, De Gea really is the complete package – and it would be near impossible to find a good enough replacement.
