The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are delighted with this…
Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd have struggled so far this season – and much of that has been put down to their poor defensive record.
The Man Utd fans in the Tavern have been disappointed with how their side have defended so far this year, often conceding a number of scrappy goals each week.
Much of their poor form at the back in recent weeks has come down to the absence of Eric Baily, who suffered an injury during the Red Devils’ 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea.
Whilst the Ivorian was expected to miss several months of action, it would appear that he has handed Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho a significant boost.
According to a Man Utd insider as per the Sun, Baily has made a remarkable recovery from injury – and could be back in training as early as next week.
Whilst the report does not stipulate whether he will be available in a matter of days or weeks following his return, it will still come as a timely boost to Mourinho – who was likely planning for life without Baily until the new year.
Prior to his injury, Baily was the standout figure in the Man Utd defence – having picked up 9 Premier League appearances thus far, and looking impressive throughout.
