Man Utd receive injury boost ahead of Leicester City clash

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern were left sweating last night after Phil Jones went down with an injury…

The Englishman suffered the injury in the second-half of the game, and given how prone he has been to long-term injury layoffs over the last few weeks – the Man Utd fans in the Tavern were fearing the worst.

Their concern was with good reason, too, given how vital Jones has been to Mourinho’s cause so far this season. He has made 12 appearances this season, with Eric Baily suffering from a number of injury issues throughout the campaign so far.

Fortunately for them, though, the defender has revealed to MUTV (via Man Utd’s official website) the true extent of his injury – and it is good news.

Jones said: “My foot’s bruised but I’ll be fine”.

He continued: “It’s nothing sinister, nothing serious, so hopefully in a few days I’ll be fine”.

This has come as a significant boost to the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, with many of them hoping that Jones will be fit for the Leicester City clash this weekend. A Sunday fixture, Jones will have had 4 days to rest the injury – meaning that the chances are likely good that he will make the game.

The injury has come at an unfortunate time for the Red Devils, given reports that Eric Bailly suffered somewhat of an injury setback on his return to action.

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a big win on Sunday, but they think that Jones will be vital if that is going to happen.
