The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern think that Jose Mourinho is on track to build a dynasty at Old Trafford…
It has been a sensational start to the season for the Red Devils, and with so many quality players within the squad, the Portuguese is not short of options this term.
The future of one player is beginning to concern the fans in the pub, though. Ander Herrera is a fan favourite amongst supporters, but with his contract set to expire next summer, his future is far from assured.
According to the Independent, though, this is not a concern for the club, with a sense of confidence around Old Trafford that he will sign a new deal and remain in Manchester next season.
Currently earning £75,000-per-week, it would likely cost Man Utd more to keep him at the club, but there is no doubting the quality that he brings to the fold.
Hard work, leadership and midfield control, Herrera is one of Europe’s best midfielders and most of the fans in the Transfer Tavern are dreaming of a partnership with a newly in-form Paul Pogba and Herrera in the future.
The Spaniard hasn’t featured much this term, but there is no doubt that his significance will increase as the campaign continues.
At 28-years-old, Herrera is in the prime of his career, and most of the fans in the Transfer Tavern want him to play every single week.
Mourinho will, no doubt, begin to utilise him more as the season continues – but he will be far more reliant on him if he knows that his future is assured.
