Man Utd reportedly keen on 29-goal forward, but there’s bad news for Mourinho

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to sign a top forward this summer…

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic unlikely to play for the club again and Wayne Rooney clearly no longer up to par, there is a clear need for an attacking rebuild at Old Trafford.

Clearly, a club like Man Utd should only be targeting the world’s best, though, and so there are only so many players that the club could look towards.

One such player is Harry Kane, who has emerged as arguably one of Europe’s best in recent years, but the Red Devils have suffered a bit of a blow to their reported hopes of signing him.

According to the Independent, Man Utd are interested in the Englishman – but Tottenham have given them an unequivocal no with regards to any potential offer for him. Spurs reportedly value the striker at £200 million – realistically shutting the door on any prospective move.

In truth, the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t surprised about this, with Kane clearly a key part of proceedings at White Hart Lane. He bagged 29 league goals last season, and if Tottenham are going to have any chance of remaining in the title race, they need to hold on to him .

Back to the drawing board for Jose, it seems.
