Man Utd reportedly ready to launch another big money summer move

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are quickly coming around to the idea of Alvaro Morata joining the club this summer…

Whilst not a player that will produce massive shirt sales or leave every other side in the Premier League reeling, there can be no doubting that he is one of Europe’s most deadly forwards at present.

A remarkable record of 15 goals in just 14 La Liga starts highlights that perfectly, whilst his general play for Juventus during the 2015/16 season, when he was considered a crucial player, proved that he has the quality to lead the line for one of Europe’s most impressive sides.

There was an audible cheer, then, in the Transfer Tavern when reports from the Guardian suggested that Man Utd are hopeful of securing a deal for the striker this summer. Indeed, according to the Guardian, another move of around £60 million could be forthcoming from the Red Devils as Jose Mourinho looks to wrap up a deal for the Spaniard. It is noted that the club have already had an initial approach rejected.

Clearly there is a real need for a striker at Old Trafford this summer, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave the club. Reports hinted yesterday that the Swedish forward would not be offered a new deal this summer, and so Morata could be an ideal replacement.

Our landlord thinks that this would be a wise move from Mourinho.
