The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are keen for their side’s defence to improve this summer…
The capture of Victor Lindelof has certainly eased concerns somewhat, but for most supporters in the pub, the problems are still glaring. Particularly on the right-hand side of the defence, Antonio Valencia is not a player that can be expected to continue to play out of position next season, and so it is a area that Mourinho must look to add more quality to.
According to the Independent, he is looking to do just that, with the Red Devils reportedly considering a move for PSG defender Serge Aurier this summer. It is noted that a move for Fabinho has hit the buffers, and with Mourinho desperate to upgrade in that position, it appears as though the Frenchman has peaked his interest.
Of course, Aurier has emerged as one of Europe’s most talented defenders in recent years – particularly impressing on the right-hand side of the PSG defence. He is particularly efficient going forward, with passing and dribbling two of his most impressive traits. That is not to say that he is poor at the back, either, as he has proven his worth in that regard too. He made 21 league starts last season.
Take a look at what he can do below…
The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are certainly behind this deal, with extra quality on the right-hand side of the defence a necessity.
