Man Utd suffer fresh blow following Manchester Derby

The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern were hoping that the bad news was over after a disappointing weekend…

The Football Transfer Tavern was bustling on Saturday, with the coveted Manchester Derby taking centre stage amidst crowds of Mancunians.

The majority of the punters in attendance were touting Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd for a derby victory, given their explosive start to the campaign.

Jose Mourinho has become renowned for his performances in high-pressure environments – but it was not to be for the United faithful.

It was the Manchester City fans that were dancing on the pool tables in the Tavern when the final whistle was blown, leaving the United faithful wishing away their weekends.

The United fans came back into the Football Transfer Tavern this morning hoping that the furor surrounding the derby clash was over, but this latest report has added further injury to…well, injury…

According to the Times, United winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to miss up to three games, after aggravating an injury during his disappointing performance in the game.

The Algerian suffered the initial injury during the international break, but Mourinho had seemingly deemed him fit to start to the game.

Mkhitaryan was slammed by the United faithful in the Tavern for his performance in the first half, with one particularly vocal United fan proclaiming that he was the worst player on the pitch.

It seemed that Jose Mourinho agreed, opting to substitute the winger at half-time following a dismal display.

This fresh injury news might give an insight into why he was so poor, as he was seemingly only playing at 50%.

Our landlord thinks that Jose Mourinho must be held at fault for this one. He shouldn’t have risked him in such a high-profile fixture…

Man Utd fans – we want to hear from you! How big of a miss will this be?
