Man Utd may not be going to well in the present, but the future is looking pretty good. Many of Jose Mourinho's players are still young, with individuals like Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku still young enough to be at Old Trafford for many years to come.

However, the Red Devils will need to add a few new faces over the years, but perhaps they don't have to come from outside of the club. Indeed, there is plenty of talent within the Man Utd academy, and in particular, there are many young players on the books at Old Trafford that are currently away from the club on loan.

This means that, in the short term, they can't do much to help the club, but come next summer, the Red Devils will have a handful of players returning to the club that they'll likely be desperate to see in the first team. But who exactly should Man Utd fans be looking out for?

Well, Man Utd supporters should be seriously excited about these 2 loanees...

Axel Tuanzebe

Axel Tuanzebe is currently on loan at Aston Villa, and whilst he certainly hasn't had the ideal start to life on-loan, with mixed performances so far, his natural talent is clear for all to see.

He's a physical presence in the defence, and this allows to serve as an intimidating force as the opposition look to attack his goal. He's quick, agile and robust, and he's a real sight to behold in the heart of the defence. Significantly, he's also a natural leader, and that's something that Man Utd don't have enough of at the moment.

He's not yet proven as a consistent player able to perform on a weekly basis, particularly at Man Utd, but he certainly has the potential. Perhaps another year at Villa will do him the world of good, and he could return to the club as a potential solution to Man Utd's defensive problems.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Timothy Fosu-Mensah can consider himself unlucky not to be at Man Utd this season, but the arrival of Diogo Dalot possibly made him surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.  Another defender, Fosu-Mensah is capable of playing across the defence, offering tremendous quality and physicality.

He's made 12 first team league appearances for Man Utd, and he's proven in his quality in many of those games, but it's also evident that he's a player that is still raw and needs to develop.

Fulham will be a fantastic home for him this season. They look likely to make a real impact in the Premier League, and hopefully for Man Utd, he'll be at the heart of that.

Like Tuanzebe, he's a player like Jose Mourinho will be looking at and hoping that he develops enough to make an impact next season.
