Man Utd unlikely to seek out deal for 25-goal attacker this summer – report

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been feeling very optimistic over the last few weeks, with many dreaming of a return to Old Trafford for Cristiano Ronaldo….

However, it doesn’t look like their dreams will be coming true this summer, with the Daily Star reporting that a move for Ronaldo is extremely unlikely this summer. Citing a source close to Man Utd, it is noted that the Portuguese is not expecting Ronaldo to move to Old Trafford this summer, describing his reported decision to leave the club as a ploy to get more money out of Real Madrid.

Whilst the Man Utd fans in the pub are undoubtedly disappointed about this, they can certainly understand it. With the saga surrounding Ronald only just beginning, there is still much to be learned about the matter. Beyond that, any transfer fee for Ronaldo is likely to be astronomical, whilst his wages are also likely to come with a huge price tag.

That being said, the prospect of Ronaldo returning to the Premier League is a mouthwatering thought. He secured a remarkable 25 league goals last season, whilst he bagged an astonishing 56 goals in all competitions including international fixtures.

For Man Utd, a move looks unlikely, but for whichever team Ronaldo is playing for next season, they are certainly in for a lot of success.
