Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping everything will fall into their hands as they continue to pursue a big striker and they’ve been given a boost today.
ESPN quote Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as stating he is unsure what the future holds for Alvaro Morata, amidst speculation that the Spanish giants will activate a buy-back clause in the forward’s contract with Juventus and then sell for a profit.
Morata has excelled with Juventus since leaving Real Madrid two-years ago but he could complete a transfer to the Premier League this summer, with Arsenal holding huge admiration for the forward, and Zidane has added fuel to the fire with his comments.
“He has grown a lot in Italy. I don’t know what will happen, but he did very well at Juventus. It is normal that they still want to keep him for another year, so we will see what happens. It’s not the time to talk about it yet.”
Real Madrid themselves could see a shake-up this summer and Morata may be useful if they rejig the forward line, as he is a boyhood fan of the Spanish giants, but our landlord feels a transfer is almost certain.
