Manchester City ace headed for the exit door

maicon.jpgThere is serious interest in the claim coming from the Daily Mail here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they think that Maicon is set to leave Manchester City.

The full back was of course brought into the club by former manager Roberto Mancini who worked with the player at Inter Milan. Whilst Maicon may well have been one of the best in the world in his position during his time at Inter, it seems that now his legs have gone.

After the infamous Champions League decimation by Tottenham’s Gareth Bale, Maicon did not look the same and now Manuel Pellegrini is set to assert his authority on the Citizens side and make the Brazilian one of the first casulaties of his time in charge.

City are of course facing more claims from former manager Mancini over his time at the club and acrimonious departure whilst still focusing on getting a forward in to replace the departed Carlos Tevez, believed to be Sevilla man Alvaro Negredo, who many news outlets claim the club are closing in on.

Have Maicon’s legs gone. Should City be showing him the exit door? Let us know your thoughts below.
