Manchester City man reveals he’s hated his year at the club

Bony MCWilfried Bony has discovered that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side after experiencing the ‘worst year of his career’.

Football fans in the Transfer Tavern, in particular the Swansea City faithful, are shaking their heads at Bony and muttering ‘I told you so.’

Bony left Swansea in January for £28 million but has failed to make an impact at the Etihad Arena and has scored only two goals in his 19 appearances since joining the Sky Blues.

Sergio Aguero is the main striker at the club but Bony has barely had a look in since his arrival. Considering the huge impact he had at Swansea during his two years at the club this year has been a disappointment for himself and City.

Bony said in The Express:

“A lot of crazy things have happened since I joined City and I’ve been ruled out with injury three or four times so it’s been hard to find any rhythm playing one or two games here and there.”

“It’s been the worst spell of my career without question – in the past five years I’d never missed more than two games in a row and at Swansea I only missed a handful of matches and that was mostly because of a red card I received.”

The Ivorian international may well get his chance this weekend at home to Bournemouth and on Wednesday in the Champions League against Sevilla with top scorer Aguero ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury.
