Metro have a rather interesting claim for us here in the Football Transfer Tavern after they claimed that West Bromwich Albion could be about to end Scott Sinclair’s Manchester City nightmare.
The winger had gone from strength to strength during his time at Swansea City and then made the move to Manchester City, and as many had initially suggested, struggled to break into the first team under Roberto Mancini and fell off the radar for being anything other than Helen Flanagan’s boyfriend.
Now after missing out on former Chelsea player Salomon Kalou, it seems that Baggies boss Steve Clarke, who knows Sincalir well from the time spent at the Blues, is ready to bring the player to The Hawthorns and allow him the chance to reignite his career just before the World Cup next year.
Sinclair has been told he is surplus to requirements by City boss Manuel Pellegrini and knows that a move simply has to be made before the end of the transfer window. A move to West Brom would suit the player nicely while offering him the chance to play his attacking brand of football on a regular basis and get that all important confidence back.
Will West Bromwich Albion offeer Sinclair the chance to reignite his career? Let us know your thoughts below.
