Manchester City and Everton fight for signature of La Liga star

PellegriniManchester City and Everton supporters around the Tavern will be pulling out their smartphones to look up Cristiano Piccini after the Daily Mail linked the two Blue clubs with a move for the full-back.

The 23-year-old has reportedly caught the eye of City scouts whilst playing for Real Betis in La Liga, whilst Everton are supposedly weighing up potential transfers to cover the right-back position.

Everton, who have also been linked with Sam Byram of Leeds, want cover with Seamus Coleman linked with a move away from Goodison Park after he has reportedly been the subject of enquiries from PSG in the past few months.

The Daily Mail also claim that City may lose Pablo Zabaleta in the summer, with Serie A outfit Inter Milan among those keen on securing the combative Argentine’s signature.

Meanwhile, the Italian Piccini has started 14 of Betis’ 18 league fixtures so far this campaign.
