Manchester City boss rules out January signings

PellegriniManchester City fans are growing increasingly concerned ahead of the January transfer window after comments from their manager.

The Guardian quotes Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini as stating that he is not looking for new additions in January, despite injury problems.

City, currently leading the Premier League, have been faced with problems this season as Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero have been sidelined. However, it’s not going to force Pellegrini into the market.

“Well, in important teams maybe if you take out a [Lionel] Messi for three months of the season or Cristiano [Ronaldo] for three months of the season, of course I think those teams are not the same. If you take two or three of them it’s more difficult to do it, which is why I’m so happy with the squad in this season.”

“The squad for this year is ready. We are not thinking to replace [anyone] for the amount of injuries we’ve had. Really, we are not thinking about that.”

Our City fans are concerned as they believe it could prove detrimental to their Premier League and Champions League campaign, particularly with the race in the domestic league extremely tight.
