Manchester City career over? The Citizens player most likely to be sold by Pep Guardiola this summer

Manchester City have enjoyed a tremendous week after winning the League Cup and cementing manager Pep Guardiola’s first trophy in England during that win.

A second trophy will soon follow, with City more or less wrapping up the Premier League title already, and it will be interesting to see if the club can complete a treble and seal very first Champions League win for the blue half of Manchester.

Here in the Tavern, spirits have been high all week and despite the cold snap taking over the country, plenty of pints have been sunk as the City fans celebrate their cup success.

Our landlord has been mingling in and amongst the City fans too, and he’s been having a good chat about the summer, posing questions about whether certain players have a future at the club with the squad now so rich with talent and depth.

One player who has been mentioned as a potential loser in this situation is veteran midfielder and club legend Yaya Toure, who has seen his role at the club diminish since Pep took over, with his appearances this term extremely limited indeed.

Toure though, despite being in his 30s, will still be an attractive signing for a whole host of clubs, and if he can lower his wage demands, he could well find himself a new club pretty quickly.

The big Ivorian will go down as an all time great at City, and rightly so, but this summer could see the end of the former Barcelona man in terms of his Premier League career.

City fans, what do you think? Will Toure be on his way? Let us know in the comments!
