Manchester City are expected to beat Real Madrid to the capture of Malaga starlet Isco according to the Telegraph.
Isco, who starred for Spain as they successfully claimed the European Under-21 Championship title yesterday with a 4-2 victory over Italy, has admitted that he is considering offers from both Real Madrid and City as he seeks to leave Malaga this summer.
Former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini has been named as the new Citizens manager and that has led to speculation that the Chilean could bring the supremely talented 21-year-old to the Etihad Stadium with him.
With Real Madrid set to appoint Carlo Ancelotti in the next few weeks to succeed Jose Mourinho it is thought that one time best player in the world Kaka will be given another chance with the Spanish side while the presence of German international Mesut Ozil makes a possible swoop for Isco unlikely.
The youngster told reporters: “I know that both Manchester City and Real Madrid are two great clubs. I want what is best for me and for Malaga. I am going to take a holiday [after the European Under-21 Championship], which I need, and then decide my future.”
