All of our punters pretty much sat up and took notice when the Daily Mirror‘s Martin Lipton popped in earlier with the news that Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on the move (yet) again, this time to Manchester City.
The Swedish international has had more clubs than I’ve had hot dinners and it sounds like the former Juventus man could be seeking pastures new after reportedly falling out with Paris Saint Germain manager Laurent Blanc over the Ligue 1 champions’ pursuit of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
City are in the market for a forward, having sold Mario Balotelli and, more recently, Carlos Tevez and Ibrahimovic has apparently already told his agent, Mino Raiola to spread the word about his ‘availability’ but Manuel Pellegrini is also keen on Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic.
Despite winning 10 league titles in 12 years, Ibrahimovic’s talents has always been ‘dismissed’ by the punters in the tavern, so a chance to prove himself in the Premier League could appeal to the striker.
We’ve encountered Ibrahimovic’s name a lot in the tavern and trust us, this won’t be over quickly and this won’t be done quietly, so, if we were you, we’d grab a bar stool and sit back and ‘enjoy’ the karaoke because this one could go the distance.
Will the ego Ibrahimovic end up in the Premier League this summer or is this one a long shot? Let us know your thoughts below.
