Manchester City fans will feel extremely confident that their side can get the job done in the Premier League from here on in, as they cruised to victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Citizens will be looking at the Manchester derby as the season-defining fixture that has to result in three points, as Liverpool have a rather easy run of fixtures other than Chelsea travelling to Anfield.
Whats the news?
Although, it looks as if Guardiola is focusing on the summer transfer window at this moment in time, as according to Globalesporte (via Manchester Evening News), Manchester City have made contact with Everton Soares.
The Brazilian international made a name for himself by scoring 10 goals in the last campaign.
City are reported to value Everton at £40 million, while his buy out clause is £80 million.
Manchester City should perhaps look at strengthening in the middle of midfield or at left-back rather than investing in another winger, as they already have the likes of Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez.
Everton Soares, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), is a special talent who could develop into a future star if he makes the move to Manchester. There’s no harm in moving for the attacker after witnessing Gabriel Jesus’ rise to stardom in recent times, but Soares’ release clause could be an issue if his current club hold out for it.
Manchester City fans, do you think Everton Soares could trouble the likes of Jesus and Aguero?
