Manchester City eyeing move for Guardiola favourite

ThiagoThe Manchester City fans are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern and discussing reports linking them with a Spanish midfielder.

The Guardian is reporting that incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants Thiago Alcantara to join him in the move from Bayern Munich to the Premier League.

Thiago is no stranger to following Guardiola to other clubs, having followed the Spaniard from Barcelona to Germany for £17 million when he took over at the Allianz Arena.

With Yaya Toure’s future at the club in doubt, Gurdiola is keen to bring at least one more midfielder to the club to strengthen the depth of players available to him.

Since returning from a series of knee injuries which kept him out for a year Thiago has gone on to make 31 appearances this season with four goals.

The City fans in The Tavern would be delighted to see Thiago join the ranks at the Etihad and think he would add a great deal to their squad for next term.

City fans, who else do you want to see Guardiola bring with him? Let us know in the comments below!
