Manchester City eyeing shock move for £32m-rated Arsenal transfer target

Alvaro MorataManchester City fans are the talk of the Football Transfer Tavern as it emerges from Metro that the Citizens could well be about to sign Alvaro Morata.

The forward has been impressive this season for both Spain and Juventus and despite Real Madrid having first refusal when it comes to landing the star, City are confident they can be first in line should Carlo Ancelotti decide he does not want to bring £32.9 million Morata back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also keeping an eye on the former Real Madrid man, and will tempt to lure the striker to their club during the summer.

As one of our punters notes over a beer and burger by the bar, we are not too sure what the other forwards at the Etihad will think about that – and given Wilfred Bony was only purchased in the January transfer window, we are confused as to where Morata will fit in.

Manchester City fans. Who would you get rid of to see Morata join in the summer? Could you see Jovetic leaving? Let us know your thoughts below.
