Manchester City face battle to land Spaniard

Malaga ace Isco

Malaga ace IscoThere is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it has been claimed by the Daily Mail that Manchester City could well lose out on the signing of Malaga’s Isco this summer with Real Madrid looking to pip them to the post.

Maunel Pellegrini is keen on bringing the talented player to England with him yet the player himself has admitted that his Spanish international team-mates who play for Los Blancos have been putting pressure on him to join the Bernabeu giants and snub a move to the Premier League.

Currently playing for the Under-21’s in Israel, Isco has shone brightly and team-mate Alvaro Morata has urged him to think about joining Real Madrid this summer.

Given how well the pair have linked up thus far this summer, it is a preview of what Real Madrid hope to see next season. Isco noted that: “Those [Morata, Nacho and Carvajal] indeed are the guys insisting [for the move to Real Madrid]. We’ll see what happens.

“I try to draw the line there. We have the Under 21 final and need to focus all five senses on that now.”

To land Isco it will cost around £30 million and with both sides keen to pay that it seems a bidding war could well commence.

Will Isco choose City or Real? Let us know your thoughts below.
