Sergio Aguero is Manchester City’s all time top goal scorer, breaking records left and right, writing himself into the club’s folklore – and now the striker has insisted joining the Sky Blues is one of the best decisions he’s ever made.
Sergio Aguero will forever be etched into City’s history books following eight years of epic contributions to the club’s most successful period in history, including the famous 93:20 title-winning goal that secured the Citizens’ first Premier League crown.
Should Manchester City sign a central defender in January?
Now, after nearly a decade of leading the line at the Etihad, scoring 172 league goals, Aguero has came out in praise for the club he signed for back in 2011.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Argentine stated: “I believe coming to Manchester City is one of the best decisions I’ve taken in my life.
“It was hard to imagine spending so long with one club when I first started off… but as time went by, it became clearer to me that it was exactly what I wanted.
“And here I am – enjoying my eighth season with Manchester City.”
The 31-year-old also hinted in the interview that he has become an adopted Mancunian, similar to compatriot Pablo Zabaleta during his time with the club, with fans reacting to his comments with all the love you would expect.
So lucky to have him in this team
