During Man City’s encounter with Tottenham this evening, plenty of Sky Blues were unhappy with the performance of Algerian star Riyad Mahrez – flocking to Twitter and blasting his ‘dreadful’ showing against Spurs.
Mahrez, who started in place of Phil Foden, failed to get the better of left-back Sergio Reguilon for most of the 90 minutes – being replaced by Raheem Sterling mid-way through the second half.

No, Pep made the right call
The £43.2 million-valued ace has been a mainstay under Pep Guardiola this season, starting five Premier League games in total, but his performance against Spurs promoted plenty of City supporters to flock in outrage on social media.
