Not much transfer activity has taken place at Manchester City this summer with Riyad Mahrez the club’s only first-team signing.

Claudio Gomes and Philippe Sandler have also been brought in, but the French and Dutch youngsters are additions seen for the future.

And should the duo later be integrated into Manchester City’s team, then they can be expected to line up besides Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus, who is valued at £72m by Transfermarkt, has just signed a new contract with the club.

The Premier League champions announced on their official website that the Brazilian had put pen to paper on a two-year extension that will take his tenure at the Etihad to 2023.

Jesus has made a huge impact in England since arriving from Palmeiras back in the January of 2017. And, if it were not for injury, the 21-year-old probably would have become manager Pep Guardiola’s first-choice striker ahead of the brilliant Sergio Aguero.
