Manchester City: Fans respond to Pep Guardiola’s Coach of the Year award snub

Despite winning a domestic treble last season, the first English team in history to do so, Pep Guardiola missed out on a nomination for Best Coach of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards.
Guardiola’s City side edged one of the most intense title races in Premier League history, overcoming a relentless Liverpool side to win the league by one point.

As well as this, the Sky Blues also took home the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in a season that will go down in club folklore as the most successful ever.
Despite the Spaniard’s success, the Globe Soccer Awards have snubbed the Barcelona legend in their nomination shortlist – instead opting for Jurgen Klopp, Massimiliano Allegri, Djamel Belmadi, Erik ten Hag and Fernando Santos.
The notion that there was definitely room for Guardiola on this list is up for debate, but for City supporters, it’s basically a given that his name should be included.
