The Manchester City fans in The Transfer Tavern are gathered having a friendly pint and discussing news that they will not be losing a striker during this transfer window.
The Daily Star is reporting that Wilfried Bony will not be leaving the club during the current window according to the players agent.
Bony had been linked with a move away from the club during the window, due to the lack of first team opportunities available at the club, but his agent has denied this. Francis Kacou said:
“Wilfried Bony will stay at Manchester City. Everything else is just rumours. A departure this winter was never on the cards. Manchester City have quite simply no intention of selling.”
“He has often been injured since he arrived at the club, but he has still scored eight goals this season. We will see what happens next. This summer, the player and I, will make our position clear.”
The Manchester City fans in The Tavern are pleased that Bony is staying with the club and hope that he can get some game time to replicate the success he had with his previous club Swansea.
City fans, will Bony ever achieve the form he showed at Swansea? Let us know in the comments below!
