Manchester City have been the standout performers in the Premier League in recent times and they managed to retain the Carabao Cup this evening.
The Citizens will now turn their attention towards chasing down Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title, as the Reds managed to go one point clear at the top after being held to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford earlier on today.
However, it appears as if Pep Guardiola is more focused on a possible swoop at this moment in time, as according to Teamtalk, Manchester City are interested in signing Pablo Fornals.
Indeed, Manchester City scouts issued glowing reports on the midfielder, and they could now also be ready to move in for him in the summer, with his exit fee proving tempting.
Although, the Citizens aren’t the only team interested in signing him, as the likes of Arsenal and Spurs are also keen.
Pablo Fornals has established himself as a star at current club Villarreal and he’s starting to make great strides on the international stage with Spain, so he’s definitely one to watch out for.
The Citizens already have David Silva operated in an attacking midfield role but the 33-year-old isn’t getting any younger, so perhaps Fornals will be his long-term replacement.
