Manchester City have been their dominant selves in the current campaign as they continue to chase down a second consecutive Premier League title.
The Citizens have found their form already as they remain unbeaten and have been completely unfazed by what they’ve come up against so far. And, to make things even better, it appears as if Pep Guardiola is looking to make moves on the transfer front, as according to The Mirror, Manchester City have joined the race for Frenkie de Jong.
Pep Guardiola is ready to take on Manchester United in the battle to sign Ajax wonderkid Frenkie De Jong.
Indeed, the Spaniard wants to sign a defensive midfielder in January, and De Jong is on his list of targets.
City are understood to have had a £50 million bid for De Jong rejected by Ajax in the summer, and are ready to make another move.
So, the defending Premier League champions could pile even more misery on United by moving for the midfielder.
Frenkie de Jong is one of the hottest prospects in the whole of world football and will no doubt be on the move in the future, with Manchester City looking to wrestle him away from the clutches of Manchester United.
The Citizens are in desperate need of a defensive midfielder with Fernandinho getting on with age, so a move for the 21-year-old makes perfect sense for Pep Guardiola.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
