The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing after their 5-0 win over Crystal Palace.
“It’s a real statement of intent”, said one City fan whilst another was heard saying “we’ll surely get a Champions League spot now”.
However, there is one concern that all the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern have voiced over the past several weeks.
What are they going to do about full backs next year?
Right back duo Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta are both set to leave the club on a free and Pep Guardiola has used Fernandinho and Jesus Navas in the right back slot this season.
At left back, Gael Clichy is also set to leave this summer and Aleksandar Kolarov is the only alternative.
Full backs are surely on Guardiola’s summer wishlist and that seems to be the case, according to recent reports coming from Italy.
According to Tuttosport, reported via Football Italia, Manchester City are ready to launch a €70m bid to land Juventus left back Alex Sandro.
The Brazilian international is having a fine season with the Italian Serie A champions but they are likely to accept a bid in the region of €70m.
The 26-year-old has also been linked with Chelsea but Manchester City are trying to steal a march in the race for his services.
