The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are happily dancing around the jukebox as it looks like Pep Guardiola is still looking to improve his Midfield options.
Reports are coming in from the Manchester Evening News that Pep is looking to bring in Toni Kroos as a midfield partner for Ilkay Gundogan. The Real Madrid centre midfielder was briefly part of Pep’s Bayern squad before moving to Real Madrid, much to his displeasure.
The 26 year olds arrival however may result in Man City player having to leave to accommodate such an arrival. It seems that reports say that former Porto man Fernando could be the fall guy is Kroos joins City.
The midfielder is reportedly being monitored by Valencia and Villarreal and that both clubs may be tempted to bid for city’s £12 million man.
Another likly departure could be Yaya Toure, with Inter Milan keen to secure his services. However Toure is keen to discuss his position at Man City before he commits to a transfer.
With Pep looking to further develop his Manchester City squad, it looks likely that new additions will be coming sooner rather than later.
Man City fans… Who would you bring in? Do you need another midfielder or should Pep invest in another position?
