According to the Daily Star, Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus will be Manchester City’s top transfer target next summer.
But they are likely to face a battle for his signature with fellow Premier League club Arsenal who are also keen on bringing the German international to England.
Twenty-five-year-old Reus was selected for Germany’s World Cup winning squad this summer, however he was forced to withdraw due to an ankle injury.
But the highly-rated midfielder has now returned to full fitness and will no doubt become a target for many of Europe’s top clubs.
Reports suggest that he has a buy-out clause in his contract with the Bundesliga club that can be activated next summer via a bid of £25 million plus.
Dortmund have already accepted that they are probably going to lose their star man but would prefer him to move to the Premier League just so he does not join up with rivals Bayern Munich.
