Manchester City midfielder wants Premier League stay

ToureThe Manchester City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that one of their senior players wants to stay in the Premier League should the club as expected move him on in the summer.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Yaya Toure is settled in England and that he would be willing to sign for a rival team in the Premier League.

Toure at 33 is thought to be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium this summer and although both Inter Milan and sides in China want to acquire the midfielders services he is adamant that he wants to remain in England.

A source close to Toure told the Daily Mirror:

“Yaya and the family are very happy in the UK, they enjoy living here and see no reason to change. Also, Yaya has extended family here including brothers and sisters.”

Toure would ideally like to stay with City, and although both himself and incoming boss Pep Guardiola get on well, Guardiola was responsible for letting him leave Barcelona and knows that any decision surrounding his future is completely out of his hands.

The Manchester City fans in The Tavern are not surprised that Toure wants to remain and is worried about his future and although they would be sorry to see him go, they know that every player will leave the club eventually.

City fans, would you accept seeing Toure line-up for another Premier League side? Let us know in the comments below!
