Since the arrival of Robinho at the Eastland club in 2008, City has never got what it expected from the Brazilian star. A £30 million was all it took Manchester City to woo the Brazilian from Real Madrid FC. However, since his arrival, he has never been able to deliver what was expected from him. Just when Hughes, the manager was busy chalking out plans for next week’s big clash against Arsenal, news of Robinho’s injury is surely a blow to the manager. Though Robinho is expected to be fit for that encounter, it is remains to be seen if the striker is indeed fit enough to start.
For Mark Hughes, the recently concluded transfer window has been a dream, signing all the big names of the game, but somehow injury problems have been affecting the star studded lineup. According to some sources close to the Manchester City boss, Hughes is delighted with the squad, which he has at present, but somehow he has not been able to deliver what he expected. The primary reason, though, is unavailability of all the players at the same time.
This is result why there has been a failure in the growth of the Blues.
With rumors of Robinho’s transfer fast spreading, it remains to be seen, if he does fight himself back into fitness and continue his career at the Eastlands or else he may soon find himself out of Hughes plans.
