Manchester City fans are looking rather relieved here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the Daily Mail’s latest claim.
The publication seems to think that despite Paris Saint-Germain preparing an approach for Yaya Toure this summer, the Citizens will stand firm and tell them exactly where to go.
With both PSG and Manchester City under close scrutiny for their transfer dealings and Financial Fair Play rule breaches, they may well be facing a few barren seasons in terms of buying players – unless they sell their current stars.
One player who will not be sold however is Toure, who has been sensational this season and shown us just how good he can be.
Despite a couple of dodgy games, for the most part the Ivorian has been sensational and a huge part of the success Manchester City have enjoyed – being a key factor in their Capital One Cup triumph.
Our punters make the point that back in January, Toure did express an interest in playing for PSG, but that seems to be a long way off, with Manuel Pellegrini determined to keep his best and brightest a the club, no matter what the cost.
Do you think City will be able to keep hold of Toure should PSG come calling? Let us know your thoughts below.
