The Manchester City faithful here in the Transfer Tavern are excited at the prospect of what their squad will look like at the start of next season, with Pep Guardiola looking to revamp the first-team squad.
Several new additions are expected to arrive at the club during the off season and one of the City regulars has spotted an interesting story in today’s Daily Mail, with the paper reporting that the club might be interested in securing a deal for Bayern Munich defensive midfielder Joshua Kimmich.
The 21-year-old was named in the official Euro 2016 Team of the Tournament for his displays at right-back – a position which Guardiola played him in during his time as the manager of the Bavarians.
City have Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta who can currently operate on the right-hand side of defence but this news suggests that Guardiola is looking to strengthen in the area even further.
The Manchester City fans by the pool table are excited by this news and they think that the Bayern youngster would be a quality addition to the club’s squad for next season.
Manchester City fans, would you welcome Kimmich to the club for next season? Is an improvement on Zabaleta and Sagna?
