Manchester City didn’t bring in too many additions during the summer transfer window, but that hasn’t affected their fine start to the current campaign.

Interestingly, it appears as if City are making strides in strengthening their squad, as according to Sport, Txiki Bergiristain has proposed an €80 million (£70m) deal for Frenkie De Jong.

Pep Guardiola is very interested in the midfielder the club’s sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, has got to work on the transfer.
Txiki has travelled to Amsterdam to meet with Marc Overmars, his opposite at Ajax, several times.
Therefore, Txiki has proposed an 80 million euro deal now, with De Jong staying in Holland until the end of the current campaign.
There’s no doubt that Frenkie De Jong will become one of the best in world football if he continues to develop as a youngster, but it all depends on whether he picks the right move.
And, it appears as if Manchester City are making great strides to secure the services of the midfielder, with an offer already being proposed.
