Manchester City: Raheem Sterling takes to social media amid Bulgaria race storm

We don’t want to say we’re happy that Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has apparently called on the president of the Bulgarian Football Union to resign after last night’s disgrace, but we’re very happy indeed.

There are certain words reserved for the kind of people who see fit to taint our beautiful game with such horrific displays of moronic and inhumane behaviour that we saw coming from sections of morally deprived Bulgaria fans last night, but sadly they cannot be uttered here.

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling was one of the most vocal players on social media after the match, slamming Bulgaria manager Krasimir Balakov, who still bizarrely refuses to acknowledge the true extent of discrimination suffered last night, despite the abhorrent Nazi salutes being there for all to see.

Sterling’s tweets include a response to Balakov claiming England had a bigger problem with racism than their foes, a reply to Piers Morgan and a reaction to Borisov’s demand for the president of the Bulgarian Football Union to step down, who since has.
